We have extensive experience in assisting national laboratories and national security sites in the creation of project and program baselines. This includes strict adherence to DOE/NNSA requirements, compliance in Government Accountability Office (GAO) audits and use of Earned Value Management best practices
We have been responsible for the creation of multiple project/program baselines across the nation. We specialize in the use of Primavera P6 software as it is generally required by the DOE/NNSA customer, but also have extensive experience in Microsoft Project.
We provide the expertise to establish a basis of estimate, create control accounts, manage cost tables and provide our client with a comprehensive way to communicate funding needs. Like our scheduling service, this incorporates best practices from across the industry and has been performed at multiple national laboratories and national security sites.
We believe formal risk management is critical to project success and Dauntless Associates has managed risk across the entirety of the nuclear enterprise. Employees have acted as risk managers at Y-12 National Security Complex, Pantex Plant, Los Alamos National Laboratory and as a NNSA Program Risk Manager on a Life-Extension Program. This included creating risk policy and performing risk audits for nearly every site in the nuclear enterprise.
We consider a SCURA to be an essential practice to ensure success in any project or program. After Scope, Schedule, Cost, Risk and Uncertainty have been defined, the Dauntless team performs a SCURA (Monte Carlo Analysis) to understand how risk and uncertainty affect a project's/program's critical path. This allows the client to focus mitigation strategies on the most critical scopes of work while providing stakeholders with true confidence in the execution strategy.
We have experience planning and implementing process improvements at multiple sites across the nuclear complex. Many members of our team specialize in this practice and are Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
